The evaluation covered relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence and sustainability. Learning spaces were operational within 42 days of grant start. Retention of girls aged 13-17 was 61% against 88% for boys; distance to the learning space and unpaid care work were the dominant drivers. Recommendation: budget for accompanied transport or an attendance stipend from the outset in similar contexts.
